The Most Potent Vitamin C in the World

That’s right, this little known exotic fruit from the tropics in South America know as Camu Camu contains the most vitamin C in the world.  Camu Camu grows as a shrub in the swampy and flooded areas of the Amazon rainforest typically in Peru and Brazil. It can typically grow from 9 to 15 feet tall.

This yellowish/red fruit is very sour when eaten raw and that is why it’s commonly ground into a powder in North America.  You will then find it in health food stores as a dietary supplement in capsules.  Of Camu Camu’s greatest properties, it contains more vitamin C than any other food on the planet, containing up to 60 times more than an orange!

It is a powerful antioxidant as a result of the high vitamin C count and thus it is used to help cure colds, boost the immune system, herpes, tooth and gum healing, heart health, mood enhancement, eyesight, and for liver health.  Amino acids such as leucine, serine and valine in addition to phytochemicals and minerals aid in helping the body heal itself.

Camu Camu also has a well know reputation as a beauty and anti-aging aid because of its high vitamin C, anti-inflammation properties, carotenoids that block free radicals from entering the body.  This greatly improves the skin, increases hair growth and improves texture.
